DXCC Rule removal

Posted: August 20th, 2008 under Hamradio.

Just read this on the ARRL DXCC Blog. I guess it’s because of the new logsearch software many of the latest expeditions have been using. See below to read the rule that was removed.

More confirmations on LoTW

Posted: August 15th, 2008 under Hamradio.

lotw-logo-c.jpgLogged onto my account today, and found FH1LE confirmed on 40M. Thanks for a new one on that band. I had a bit of struggle to get him to get my call though. He had lots of qrn that night, but thanks for pulling me out. SV9GPV and JX/G7VJR is confirmed on 6M together with several of the stations I worked in the USA opening earlier this summer. Thanks to all LoTW-users.

Sorting pictures and adding more to the gallery

Posted: August 11th, 2008 under Pictures.

Hi. I have finally sorted all my pictures on my pc and found several "lost" pictures. I have added 2 galleries that you can take a look at under photoalbums. One shows the magic of winter in Norway, and the other one shows some nice clouds I have captured. Samples are shown in this post. Check out the rest under photoalbums.

LA3Z.com is up and running

Posted: August 7th, 2008 under Hamradio, Homepage, Pictures.

If you go here, you can see the new LA3Z.com site that I helped set up. The old site has been removed. It was located at LA3Z.no.

I have also fixed most of the bugs on this site. I’ll probably start blogging a bit more now, that everything is running smoothly. I’m not sure which way the blogging will take, but probably will write about more different stuff. Not just hamradio related.

Oh, just remembered, added a few more pictures to the sunset photogallery. An example can be seen here

Wordpress is active

Posted: July 25th, 2008 under Homepage.

I finally decided to activate wordpress as my main page. I have been running both the static pages and wordpress side by side, but felt that the wordpress pages were updated and working well enough to run as main page. I am still fixing some bugs here and there, so there might still be some strange stuff showing up.

Some dx’ing and some updating

Posted: July 24th, 2008 under Hamradio.

6M hasn’t been much interesting lately. Was a miss with ZC4LI. LA8HGA alerted me, but I was too late. On HF I have worked VK9XHZ on 30/40 for 2 new bandcountries. C91XO was worked on 30/40, and was also 2 new bandcountries. 3DA0OK was worked on 17 and 30. 5H3ME was worked on 20.

Regarding the website. I finally got around to play with the gallery stuff, and is mostly working well now. The photalbums are integrated.
